DQ-Lab was founded in June 2001 with funding from the founders
Adrian Clarke and Gary Smith to develop innovative / accurate
voice automation products and software tools for call centres
and telecommunications companies.
DQ-Lab provides the world's most advanced voice automated
database query and telephone directory enquiry technology
we are considered the world leader in voice-enabling large
and dynamic directories.
Our technology resolves issues related to the accuracy and
scalability of voice recognition solutions resulting in a
'break-through' in highly scalable carrier grade 'Voice Recognition'
software for fixed line and mobile telephones.
The company's patented DQ Auto voice search engine™ technology
is radically different than traditional speech recognition
and is designed specifically for voice searching extremely
large directories.
It is the only speech technology suitable for automating directory
assistance
applications.
Suitable for applications such as speech-driven auto attendants,
name and address capture, bet taking, payment processing,
call routing, password reset, toll fraud protection and directory
information centers.
The company
was originally formed to take advantage of the Office Of Telecommunications
(OFTEL) deregulation of the Directory Enquiries (DQ) 192 service;
currently run as a near-monopoly by British Telecom, which is
thought to handle up to 700 million DQ calls per annum.
As a result, DQ-Lab has been invited to take part in the deregulation
process as an OFTEL DQ Implementation Working Group member and
one of the limited number of direct participants of the new
deregulated industry.
The
Future.
DQ Lab is focused on profitable growth and expanding its existing
voice automation tools and applications to appeal to integrators
of call centre solutions and telco's.
Our target market capitalization is £30 million by the
end of 2003.
